The word “Journaling” cause a lot of reactions and even some strange responses. Are you aware that you are journaling everyday in your mind” Journals are creative, self-expressive, dealing with the inner-self, healing, restoring energy and even assisting in helping and supportive to the “Let go” Process of difficult aspects in one’s life. A closer look into journaling is the way it reveals special highlights into the subconscious mind relating to our triggers stored during experiencing trauma or any uncertainties. Embarking on a journey through journaling is crucial especially when experiencing suppressed traumas, suffering from disturbed thought patterns, being confronted with aspects in our everyday living, dealing with challenges on the foreground and many more. Focus will be on the science of journaling in this workshop and numerous other types of journals will be highlighted and mentioned as part of different healing processes in your life.

Target Audience: The course is targeted at any adult who is interested to gain broader knowledge about the enjoyment of journaling to heal the inner-self and becoming “YOU” again. Practitioners dealing with trauma in their practices can also benefit by attending this workshop.


Course Content: The following is looked at in the workshop:
1. The science of Journaling: An overview will be given about the development and application of journaling in practice.
2. How Journaling works: The core elements of how to journal will be discussed.
3. How to Journal: Guidelines on partaking in the process of journaling will be given.
4. Journaling as technique: Discussion on journaling as a techniques as well as the interpretation of a journal will follow.
5. Purpose of Journaling: A better understanding regarding one’s
– thinking patterns,
– perspective of belief systems,
– emotional experience,
– triggers in the sub-conscious mind will be outlined.
6. Types of Journals: Different types of Journals will be touched on.
7. Practical application: A journal on Who You Are will be looked at during the workshop.


Facilitator Profile: Registered Social Worker (PhD – Interdisciplinary studies) in private practice and has been working with adults and children in both individual and group settings for the past 46 years. Focus areas in practice are health care counselling, dealing with individual, group and family trauma, relationship counselling, ADHD, auto-immune diseases. Also a Registered Kobus Neethling Wholebrain practitioner dealing with the different brain preferences, skills, relationships, communication skills, etc.
Obtained a doctorate in Mental health to ensure that the emotions and brain health is addressed effectively.
Further, added a Ph.D in Colour Intervention to broaden the support in a lifestyle wellness programmes.
Completed a diploma in Ministry in 2001 and was Ordained as Pastor during 2002. This contributes to strengthening the spiritual levels of those experiencing uncertainties in this regards.

This 1-day workshop offers an opportunity to obtain information in the setting of boundaries within the family set-up which will include aspects relating to adults toddlers and young children. Focus will be on how one differentiates from others in general, emotional polarities and dating.

What is Illness & Emotions? An illness most of the times occur when the immune system of the body is under pressure. The different organs and relevant systems in the body do get “ill” due to the effect of suppressed emotions in the body. It is important to understand the effect of suppressed emotions within the body as it does have a definite effect on the human body resulting in specific illnesses such as sinus, headache, lupus, arthritis, build-up of toxins within the organs as well as blockages in the lymph system.


NO health-orientated courses are needed to register for the course.


Target Audience: The course is recommended to a wide range of professionals, health care consultants and health care therapists, social workers, ministers of religion, counsellors, teachers, hairdressers, youth workers, etc. It is a basic subject crucial to anyone who will deal with other people in their profession.


Course Content: The following is looked at in the workshop:

1. The body and its organs: An outlay is discussed pertaining to the organs within the body. This includes the illnesses attached to the liver, heart, stomach, gall bladder, lungs, intestines, spleen, bladder, kidneys, etc.
2. The origin of emotions: It is important the person involved needs to understand where emotion originates from. The effect of the emotions on the physical body and spine is outlined.
3. The effect of emotions on the body: The emotions do play a cardinal role as basis in the manifesting of ill health. The relation of the emotions and specific organs is further outlined.
4. The underlying suppressed feelings in the body: Each organ “represents” specific emotions. Focus will be on the development of emotions in relation with the said organ. Sinus for instance is a symptom of a toxic liver as well as suppressed emotions (anger).
